A few tiny spoilers ahead—but the ending is safe!

Law Maker

Susie Tate

ISBN: 979-8217436149

Series: Aristocrats of London)

Genre: Contemporary women's fiction

Pages: 368

Basics: Invisibility has been Clara’s go-to survival skill since childhood. Now a teaching assistant at the exclusive Molton Prep, she hides behind her glasses and heavy fringe, avoiding her beloved students’ posh parents. Her one secret indulgence? Watching gorgeous, intimidating Lord Rafe Sterling sweep into school to collect his son.

Review: Excellent story with a strong MFC hiding a dark secret. Headstrong and forced into a situation where her love for children outweighs her past.  A father who does not know what to do with her or where she came from, but wants to protect her from everything. She becomes the nanny for the MMC's son and eventually learns that her past is something she needs to stop hiding from. Excellent ending, including a HEA

Rating: 5/5 Will definitely be looking into the rest of the series

Stone Daddy’s Good Girl

Celeste King and Wynter Raven

ISBN: Kindle only

Series: none

Genre: Romance Fiction/Fantasy Fiction

Pages: 159

Basics: She shouldn’t be on my mountain.
She shouldn’t be in my cottage.
She sure as hell shouldn’t be sleeping three feet from my fire like I won’t take her in the night.

Review: I honestly was excited for this story, thought it would check all the boxes. I was wrong. There is no daddy dom type situation, and the genre is listed as vampire romance, but there are no vampires. It is the story of a gargoyle who wakes after several years of being stone to find a woman living in his territory. The story is good, had an awesome ending, a total twist at the end of who is really in charge. The love scenes were good, and there were protective moments, but the title and description did not accurately reflect the book; they were very misleading.

Rating: 3/5 fell short of what was promised in the description
